Add A User
Use the information below to add a new user to GSS.
User Information
You must enter all required User ID information before assigning group memberships to a user's account.
- User ID: Enter a User ID for the user in the "User ID" field. GSS User IDs must consist of alphanumeric characters.
- Name: Enter the user's name.
- Alternate ID: Enter an alternate ID in this field if it is necessary to match another User ID (such as a USPS ID) to the GSS ID. This field is optional.
- New password: Passwords must have at least 6 characters and are not case sensitive.
- Confirm password: Re-enter the password to confirm it.
Group Membership Information
- Processor: Processors can log in to GSS, process packages, and change their password.
- Managers: Managers can log into GSS, process packages, change their password, and close dispatches.
- Supervisors: Supervisors can log in to GSS, process packages, change their password, close dispatches, and create and edit user accounts.
To assign Membership Groups to a user's account, click a membership group in the "Non-Membership Groups:" list and then click the -> button to move it to the "Membership Groups:" list.
To remove a membership group, click a membership group in the "Membership Groups:" list and then click the <- button to move it back to the "Non-Membership Groups:" list.
Clicking the ->> button assigns all membership groups to the user's account. Clicking the <<- button removes all membership groups from the user's account.
To add the new user account to GSS, click Accept.
